Scientific mediation

Discover our facilities

The ICI lab hosts the Liger supercomputer, a top 5 ranking French Tier2-Class Regional x86 superscalar machine. Our expert team will be pleased to introduce you to the world of supercomputing and present our equipment.
Organized visits are scheduled once a year during Centrale Nantes open day which takes place during the National Science Fair. The next open day will be in autumn 2019.

If you cannot attend the open day, we will warmly welcome you any time of the year for other scheduled visits.

Science for all

ICI promotes science, and aims to make it accessible for everybody. ICI can organize events introducing numerical simulation and the high performance computing to different audiences. Several examples follow:

Numerical simulation breakfast

ICI organized in collaboration with Atlanpole a “high performance computing breakfast”. The Atlanpole network aims to create research clusters between universities and industrial actors, and actively promotes innovation in western France.

Learned societies

ICI is involved with several learned societies. Among others, the AFM (French Mechanical Association) or the SFMN (French Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging) can be listed.

ICI can introduce its activities to large uninitiated audiences. ICI was represented by its director Thierry Coupez for a presentation within the framework of a TEDx conference given at Centrale Nantes in 2015.
