STREAM-0D
STREAM-0D uses multi-physics simulation models able to predict the product quality indicators in response to these critical input parameters. The models are fed with actual data from online measurements: based on the model prediction, they allow workers to control the critical steps of the line so to adjust the product to the exact design specifications, or to quickly change specifications for producing customized batches.
ICI’s research on reduced order modeling (ROM) methods allows the development of real-time simulation tools based on detailed physics-based models, including all the key components, materials and physical phenomena needed to accurately forecast the product quality indicators. ROM allows use of detailed, computationally expensive physics-based models as instantaneous input-output look-up tables, able to run in real time.
The project ended on March 31, 2020.
